Asma shakuri
In Iran we have many celebrations, one of them is Yalda night. It’s the longest night in each year and we celebrate it with our family. At that night we eat special things like some kinds of nuts some special fruits and usually eat fish for diner. We also read Hafez and learn something from his notes. After Yalda little by little days became longer. It is 30 of azar
The other celebration is “chahar shanbe suri”. It’s the last Thursday in the year. It has historical story but nowadays most of the people don’t know that and they just make fire and make bombs and really they make some kind of war in the streets.
We have the other celebration that it calls “sizda bedar”. Its 13 of spring that people go to the nature with their family and enjoy it. In past they had some stories for single girls that if on that day, they take grasses in that year they will get married.
